Our Early Intervention Social Play Group is designed to bridge the gap between individual therapy and real-world social interaction. Led by experienced speech and language and behavioral professionals, the group provide a supportive, "possibility-filled" environment where children can develop functional social communication skills in the most natural way possible through play.
We focus on the "hidden curriculum" of social interaction—the skills children need to navigate the world with confidence. Our sessions are structured yet flexible, following the child's lead to ensure engagement is authentic and joyful.
Peer Engagement: Learning to initiate play, share space, and respond to the ideas of others.
Social Communication: Practicing turn-taking, making eye contact (at the child's comfort level), and understanding non-verbal cues.
Emotional Regulation: Navigating the ups and downs of play with gentle guidance on expressing feelings in a safe and expected ways.
Language Expansion: Building communication through collaborative activities and play based interactions.
